Biography

Michael J. McCutchen, a lifelong area resident, passed away Saturday, May 29, 2010 at the Kaplan Family Hospice Residence, Newburgh, NY. Son of the late Robert and Grace Carlin McCutchen, he was born January 19, 1953 in Peekskill, NY.

Michael was a Director of Projects for Orange County Community College, Middletown, NY for 25 years. He was a past member of Town of Highland Falls Fish & Game Club and a past member of Cortlandt Hook & Ladder, Peekskill, NY. Michael was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife Catherine R. Wik McCutchen, Highland Falls, NY, sons, Daniel M. McCutchen and his wife Amy, Highland Falls, Dennis J. McCutchen, Fort Montgomery, David N. McCutchen and his wife Krystal, Highland Falls, sisters, Marbet Bradshaw of Ada, OK, Barbara Callahan, Fishkill, NY, Susan Tice, Fishkill, NY, brothers, Phillip Cables, Dover, NJ, Nelson McCutchen, Cold Spring, NY, 2 grandchildren, Landon & Reese McCutchen, nieces, nephews and cousins. Michael was predeceased by his sister Connie Anzivino.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 & 7-9 PM on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at William F. Hogan Funeral Home, 135 Main Street, Highland Falls, NY. A Graveside Service will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday, June 4, 2010 at Orange County Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 111 Craigville Road in Goshen with Rev. Michael Palazzo officiating.
