Mary H. Donnery

Biography

Mary Hourigan Donnery of Highland Falls and Chazy, NY died at home on July 8, 2010 with her family by her side. The daughter of the late Michael and Catherine Hourigan, she was born in Jersey City, NJ on October 7, 1921.

Mary was a 1942 graduate of Ladycliff College in Highland Falls and later completed extensive graduate work at SUNY New Paltz and SUNY Plattsburgh. She was the Business Administrator for the Highland Falls-Fort Montgomery Central School District until her retirement in 1982.

Survivors include her sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Edward Marley, Spring Lake Heights, NJ, her children, Francis X. Donnery of New Windsor, NY, John B. and Ann Donnery of New Haven, CT, Dr. Joseph P. and Katherine Donnery of Saranac, NY, Mary C. Donnery, and Margaret and Michael Lewis of Highland Falls, NY, and Anne and Craig Apker of Tucson, AZ, eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Peter J. Donnery, her son Michael H. Donnery and sister Margaret Nealon.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 & 7-9 PM today, Friday, July 9, 2010 at William F. Hogan Funeral Home, 135 Main Street, Highland Falls, NY. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM, on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Sacred Heart Church, 353 Main Street, Highland Falls. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, New Windsor, NY.
