Biography
Richard A. Polkowski, a resident of the area for 60 years, passed away, Monday, August 30, 2010 at Castle Point Veteran's Hospital, Castle Point, NY. Son of the late Edward and Rosemary Kronenberger Polkowski, he was born in the Bronx on March 9, 1942.
Richard was a tile setter with Ed Polkowski Tile, Inc., Washingtonville, NY. He was a member of the VFW Post #9256, Highland Falls and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his daughter Cynthia Polkowski of Middletown, NY, brother Edward J. Polkowski and his wife Joan of Washingtonville, NY, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Stanley A. Polkowski and two sisters, Mary Chain and Lorraine Starr.
Graveside services will be held at on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 1:30 PM in Orange County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Craigville Road, Goshen.
