Biography

Jeanette E. Peterson, a lifelong resident of the area, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2011 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh, NY. Daughter of Nicolina and Evelyn Lewis Congiglere, she was born in Highland Falls on July 28, 1926. Jeanette was the widow of Robert R. Peterson, Sr.

Survivors include her son Robert R. Peterson, Jr. of British Columbia, Canada, her 3 grandchildren: Bobbi-Jean Liyari of Highland Falls, NY, Christopher Work of Highland Falls, NY and Robert R. Peterson, III of Hale Thorpe, MD. Jeanette was predeceased by her daughter Jody Work.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 & 7-9 PM on Thursday, December 22, at William F. Hogan Funeral Home, 135 Main Street, Highland Falls. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 23, at Sacred Heart Church, 353 Main Street, Highland Falls. Interment will follow in Eagle Valley Cemetery, Town of Highlands, NY.
