Obituary of George Regan, Jr.

George W. Regan, Jr. passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at New York Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital in Cortlandt Manor, NY. He was 80. Son of the late George W. Regan, Sr. and Martha Brennan Regan, he was born in Cornwall, NY on February 26, 1937.

George graduated from Highland Falls High School and was Class President in 1955. He attended SUNY Albany and was a payroll clerk at Palisades Parkway Commission in Bear Mountain. He was drafted into the Army for 2 years, SP4 Personnel office and instructor at the Adjutant General School, Ft. Benjamin Harrison, IN where he met his wife, Pilar Olea, who survives him. He returned to Palisades Parkway Commission after the Army and then worked as an Administrator at Electronic Tabulating Corp (ETC) Newburgh, NY for over 20 years. He attended Rockland County Community College earning his AS Degree while working as a computer lab manager and then attended Dominican College, Blauvelt, NY where he received his BA and Master's Degree. After earning his Master's Degree, he worked at West Point Personnel Office as an IT and instructor for civilian staff at USMA at West Point until his retirement. He was a Boy Scout leader for Troop 24, Highland Falls, Highland Falls Little League coach, ponytail softball coach, girls soccer coach, and volunteered for six years with the West Point swim team/club

Survivors include his daughters, Deborah MacLeod of Fort Montgomery, NY, Pilar Kellenbarger and her husband Mark of Encinitas, CA, son, George W. Regan, III and wife Monday of Rosemead, CA, sister, Patricia Graber of Calabasas, CA, former wife, Pilar Olea of Fort Montgomery, NY, 10 grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters Rosemary Townsend and Sally O'Dell and his son-in-law Glen MacLeod.

There will be no visitation. Cremation took place at Cedar Hill Crematory, Middle Hope, NY.
