Francis P. "Frank" Rucano of Ft. Montgomery and more recently Binghamton, NY passed away with his loved ones by his side, on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 in Binghamton. He was 88 years old. Born in Brooklyn, NY on October 3, 1928, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary Avalino Rucano.
A Korean War U.S. Army Veteran from 1951-1953, he served at the Garmisch Military Post in Germany. Frank retired after 38 years with General Motors Corporation in Tarrytown in 1990 and was a member of Sacred Heart Church of Highland Falls. He was predeceased by his lovely wife of 49 ½ years, Dolores "Chickie" Jusino Rucano in 2003.
He is survived by his six children, sons: Michael Rucano, Robert Rucano, and Gary Rucano; daughters: Deborah Rucano, Lisa Ruscelli, and Jean Marie Andradez. Frank will be missed by his numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. with a Memorial Service at 7 p.m. on Monday, July 24th at William F. Hogan Funeral Home, 135 Main Street, Highland Falls, NY. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 25th at Sacred Heart Church, 353 Main Street, Highland Falls, NY. Interment will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery, Haverstraw, NY.
