Stephen "Moose" Storms, 61, entered into eternal rest on May 4, 2018. A lifelong resident of Highland Falls, Moose was the son of the late Robert C. "Bob" Storms and Marion Elizabeth "Betty" Storms.
Moose was a dedicated employee of the US Military Academy, Office of the Directorate of Intercollegiate Athletics, West Point, NY for 38 years during which he was appointed the head assistant equipment manager for Intercollegiate Athletics. Moose's industry knowledge and attention to detail were highly regarded amongst his peers. He was well loved and respected by his co-workers and all cadet-athletes that he took care of spanning across four decades. They would all attest to Moose's love, dedication and kindness. During Moose's long tenure at West Point, he provided support for hundreds of cadets and treated each and every one of them with the upmost respect and considered them family. Throughout Moose's life he continued to maintain relationships with countless former cadet-athletes as they went on to successful army and civilian careers and those friendships were the one thing Moose cherished most in his life. Moose worked very closely with the Army Football Team and was a loyal, faithful supporter until the end. Nothing brought more joy to Moose's life than seeing his teams' on-field successes and of course, BEATING NAVY!
It was very important for Moose to make sure his friends knew how grateful he was for all their love and support during his battle with cancer. He considered himself very fortunate to be surrounded by so much love throughout his illness.
Moose is survived by his nephew Robert B. Storms, his wife, Jennifer, grandnephews Matthew and Christopher and grandniece Ava, of Pittsburgh, PA. Stephen was predeceased by his brother Robert P. "Robin" Storms.
Cremation took place at Cedar Hill Crematory, Middle Hope, NY.
