William J. McCullough passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh, NY. He was 88 years old. Son of the late William J. and Hazel Callahan McCullough, he was born October 3, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY.
William was a Disabled American Veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Korea and was a retired Sheriff's Deputy with the Orange County Sheriff's Office in Goshen, NY.
Survivors include his loving wife, Josephine Diaz McCullough, at home; his son William J. McCullough, III of Monroe, NY; his four daughters: Colleen Pfarr of Colorado, Maureen Ferguson of Naples, FL, Janet Dean of Fort Montgomery, NY, and Marie Dougherty of Highland Falls, NY; several grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. William was predeceased by his son Thomas McCullough, his sisters Evelyn Davis and Annmarie Durham, and his brother Daniel McCullough.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 9th at William F. Hogan Funeral Home, 135 Main Street, Highland Falls, NY. A Graveside Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 10th in Orange County Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Goshen, NY.
